Warangal police in trouble for ‘affair’ with tribal

It was said that the SI tried to hush up the matter after speaking with the village elders.

WARANGAL: Chennaraopet sub inspector Jagadeesh of Warangal Rural has been attached to the police commissioner’s office as part of a disciplinary action for allegedly being involved in an extramarital affair with a tribal woman. Locals allegedly caught the SI with the woman in a field  near Jeedigadda thanda few days ago.

It was said that the SI  tried to hush up the matter after speaking with the village elders. However some of them complained to the commissioner that the SI was also harassing them.

During a preliminary inquiry held by Narsampet division ACP Sunitha Mohan, the SI said that he was led into a trap by some locals by a phone call he had received claiming that people were gambling in the village, which he attended to. An inquiry has been launched.
