Delhi Coaching Centre Students Jump to Safety After Fire by Short Circuit
Fire broke out at a coaching centre in Mukherjee Nagar. As per prelimnary reports, short circuit is said to be the cause of fire. Soon as news spread, the fire tenders rushed to the spot to douse the flames. Rescue operation is still underway. No injuries have been reported so far, the fire personnel said.
The blaze incident was caught on camera. The video shows students rushing out of the building through stairs or using wires to climb down to safety.
At 12.27 pm, the fire personnel received a call about the fire and around 11 fire tenders were presses into service, Atul Garg, Director of Delhi Fire Service, said.
In a video shared by the fire department, people, mostly students, can be seen being rescued by the firemen through the windows.
The fire-fighting operation is underway and the cause of fire is not known yet, officials said.
