Distribution of milch animals by Telangana government from August

The CM said that,under the scheme 2.13 lakh members of dairy cooperatives will be benefitted.

Hyderabad: The Telangana state government will distribute milch animals for 2.13 lakh dairy farmers across the state from August first week for subsidised rates.

Animal husbandry minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Saturday said that farmers will be allowed to purchase milch animals on their own from any state and the  government will bear subsidy.

“Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has directed us to launch the scheme at the earliest. We have decided to launch the scheme in the first week of August,” he said. Mr Rao on Friday directed officials to initiate distribution of milch animals (buffaloes, cows) scheme to dairy farmers in the state through dairy cooperatives.

The CM said  that,under the scheme 2.13 lakh members of dairy cooperatives will be benefitted.
