H D Kumaraswamy temple hops to Kukke now

Kumaraswamy, who had visited Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swami temple on Monday, had stayed overnight at the guesthouse there.

Mangaluru: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy offered pooja at Kukke Sri Subrahmanya Temple near here on Tuesday. He was accompanied by his wife Anitha Kumaraswamy, father H.D. Deve Gowda and mother Chennamma. Kumaraswamy, who had visited Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatha Swami temple on Monday, had stayed overnight at the guesthouse there.

On Tuesday morning, he left to Kukke. According to sources, due to heavy rains, the Chief Minister's convoy had to take another route to reach the temple. Kumaraswamy arrived at Kukke around 10.30 am and reached the temple at 11 am and attended the Panchamruta Abhisheka and later offered Tulabhara seva of dry grapes.  He then visited Sri Samputa Narasimha Temple and attended the Mahapooja of Kukke Temple. 

Kumaraswamy and his family members later went to Subrahmanya Matha and sought the blessings from Sri Vidyaprasanna Teertha Swamiji. He held discussions with the seer for sometime. Meanwhile, Deve Gowda left for Mangaluru from where he was scheduled to fly to Delhi to attend the I-D celebrations.  After lunch, Kumaraswamy and his family members left for Bengaluru by road. However, due to heavy rain, his convoy had to take a diversion again and travel via Charmadi Ghat.
