Fire breaks out at Hiranandani Tower in Mumbai; building evacuated

Mumbai: A fire, which broke out at 22nd floor of Hiranandani Tower in Mumbai’s Kandivali west area on Thursday, has been brought under control.

According to reports, Maharashtra’s fire department upgraded the fire to Level III from Level II.

Nobody was trapped on the floor and people were evacuated from the building, the department said.

Four fire tenders, two ambulances and three water tankers were rushed to the spot after the fire broke out in the building.

It is not clear what caused the fire and no casualties have been reported as yet.
