In Vijayawada, it's advantage N Chandrababu Naidu government publicity campaigns
There is no outdoor space available in the city till next week.
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is featured in almost 95 per cent of hoardings, billboards, unipoles and bus shelters here, both in the form of Telugu Desam advertisements and government publicity campaigns.
Outdoor advertising companies claimed they had given space for free as an “obligation” to the TD as former minister Devineni Rajasekhar alias Nehru and his son Devineni Avinash would be joining the party on Thursday.
There is no outdoor space available in the city till next week. Apart from the legal hoardings there are several illegal posters, hoardings and flexis up across the city and town planning officials failed to remove them despite High Court directions against the practice.
When this correspondent called up a hoarding company representative, he said, “All the outdoor space including unipoles, bus shelters and hoardings and road medians are not available for some days. We have a government campaign on education and also social welfare campaign is coming up. On the other hand we had an obligation to the TD as Devineni Nehru is joining the party. We have to provide free space."
