Chennai: PMK calls for order while unveiling guru's statue
In a statement on Friday, PMK leader G. K Mani said that arrangements to unveil the statue were underway in a proper manner.
Chennai: PMK-Founder Dr S. Ramadoss has appealed to their party cadre to keep order during the trip to witness inauguration of statue of late former PMK MLA J Guru, who died of illness in May, 2018.
In a statement on Friday, PMK leader G. K Mani said that arrangements to unveil the statue were underway in a proper manner. “At the same time, it is in your (cadres) hands to succeed of statue inauguration, which will be held on September 16. Since discipline is important for our party, I appeal to you (cadres) not to create any hurdle on the National Highways (NH),” he said, stressing that there should be no disturbance for traffic and cadres must follow traffic rules.
Stating that since Vanniyar Kalvi Arakkattalai, a trust for education, has enough space to park more number of vehicles, Mani, said, “all the cadres should park their vehicles in the premises of trust.” He again appealed the cadre to keep order and sought support from them to make the function succeed.
The function will be held at Konerikuppam (near Tindivanam), where Vanniyar Kalvi Arakkattalai is located. The function will be held at 10 am and PMK founder Dr S. Ramadoss will unveil the statute, while PMK MP, Anbumani Ramadoss will name the law college campus as ‘J Guru campus’. PMK leader G. K Mani will preside the function.
