KOCHI: The ayurveda medical camp organised by the Department of Sanskrit General of the Sanskrit University Kalady in association with the Kottackkal Arya Vaidyasala on Friday in the campus received overwhelming response from the people in the locality and students. Nearly 550 persons registered and availed the medical assistance, the organizers said.
The response to the medical camp was more than our expectations, said H. Poornima Mohan, head of the department of Sanskrit General and coordinator of the camp. The people mainly consulted for ailments ranging from infections, dermatological issues and body aches. A few patients also sought counseling for flood-related trauma, she said.
The Sanskrit University Campus was one of the places worst hit by the flood and a large number of students and faculty members were evacuated during the floods. A door-to-door campaign was held by students about the camp in the past few days.
