Hyderabad: Two students of Mallareddy Degree College drowned in Singur in Sangareddy district on Thursday evening. Police said six youths, all residents of Nehrunagar under Jeedimetla police station limits went sightseeing to the Singur dam on three two-wheelers.
Police said Abdul Asif, 19, and Shaik Moiz, 22, students of Mallareddy College, stood were standing on a rock when they slipped into the water and drowned.
Their friends Saleem 19, a pharma student, Mahboob, 20, a bike mechanic, Abdul, 20, a technician and Shaik Sayeed 20, an employee, were playing on the bank of the dam when the incident occurred. Police is looking for the bodies of the two students.
