Bengaluru: Pillion rider dies in accident

The deceased has been identified as Roopa, a native of Kolar.

Bengaluru: A 19-year-old pillion rider died on spot after the rider rammed into a car which was moving ahead of them in K.S. Layout traffic police station limits early Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Roopa, a native of Kolar. The police said the accident took place around 2.30 am near Sompura lake, while she was going with her husband Manohar towards Hosur.

According to the police Manohar lost control over the   bike while trying to overtake a car and rammed into it. The two fell on road, Roopa sustained severe head injuries and died on spot while Manohar escaped with minor injuries. The police said they were going to their hometown. Kumarswamy Layout traffic police have registered a case and begun investigation.
