Bengaluru: IIT-JEE and NEET are the top competitive tests that students aspiring to pursue professional courses aim to get through. On Sunday, toppers of these exams from Allen Career Institute at the famed Kota came down to the city to address test aspirants.

“I worked on practice papers and analysed my mistakes later. I never set my target for the first rank, but only made short-term goals. I ensured that I did well in the regular tests which made the final exam easy,” said Aman Bhansal, who has secured the first rank in IIT-JEE.

Bhavesh Dhingra, another first rank holder, stressed on the importance of time management. Het Shah, topper of the recently introduced NEET, said, “The 11th grade is the foundation for your basics. If those are strong, 12th will be a cakewalk. Even if you had an average performance in 11th, you can always make up for it next year.”

One of the faculty members, Pankaj Birla, emphasised on NCERT syllabus. “I know students think working on other tougher books means they can ignore NCERT. However, without learning the basics of this syllabus, you cannot understand any other textbook," he advised.
