Dairy farmers' meet kickstarts in Kozhikode

Seminars on value-added products from milk, ways to improve dairy farming and options before dairy farmers will be part of the meet.

KOZHIKODE: Revenue minister E. Chandrasekharan inaugurated the State Dairy Farmers Meet at Vadakara-Chombala Mini Stadium on Thursday. Excise minister T.P. Ramakrishnan opened the exhibition as part of the meet.  "We have envisaged many projects for the betterment of dairy farmers, and we will make sure they are the end beneficiaries," he said.  C.K. Nanu MLA presided over the function. 

Kerala Cooperative Dairy sales federation chairman PT Gopalakurup, Kozhikode District Panchayath Development standing committee chairman P.G. George and others were present. Seminars on value-added products from milk, ways to improve dairy farming and options before dairy farmers will be part of the meet. The theme of this year's meet is self-reliance in the dairy sector. Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan will be speaking in these  seminars.
