Students from Andhra Pradesh were asked to opt for centres in border districts like Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar and Khammam. However, AP HRD minister Ghanta Srinivas Rao reached out to his Telangana counterpart Kadiyam Srihari in this connection. Officials of higher education councils of both states sat together to find a way.

Telangana expressed concern over fair conduct of exam due to the absence of its staff in the neighbouring state. AP promised that it will ensure that the exam is held in a free and fair manner. Thus far, nearly 16,000 candidates from AP have registered online for Telangana Eamcet.
