Mamata Banerjee expresses happiness over Mother Teresa's sainthood
Pope Francis on Tuesday had approved Mother Teresa's elevation to sainthood and set September 4 as the date for her canonisation.
Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed happiness over Mother Teresa's elevation to sainthood.
"Very, very happy with the good news that The Pope announces Blessed Mother Teresa of Kolkata will be made a Saint on September 4," she tweeted.

Pope Francis on Tuesday had approved Mother Teresa's elevation to sainthood and set September 4 as the date for her canonisation.
"We have now received an official confirmation from Vatican that Pope Francis has approved Mother's sainthood and set September 4 as the date for her canonisation. We are very excited and happy about it," Missionaries of Charity Spokesperson Sunita Kumar had said on Tuesday.
