Chennai: Toddler falls into hot water, dies

Chennai: A 2-year-old boy, on Tuesday, succumbed to burns he sustained after he had tripped into a hot water bucket at his residence in Avadi on March 7.

The deceased, identified as Yashwant, fell into the bucket in the bathroom while his father Nandakumar went to fetch his towel. The boy was admitted to Kilpauk Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to burns on Tuesday evening. The body was handed over to the family after a post-mortem on Wednesday.
