Guntur: SSC exams begin amdist security

GUNTUR: The SSC public exams began at 274 centres in Guntur district. The education department directed the SSC students attending the exams to come in civil dress and not in school uniform. The education department officials said all arrangements like tables, benches, drinking water and medical facilities have been provided  at the exam centres.

DEO R.S. Ganga Bhavani said that as many as  57,842 students were taking the test at 274 exam centres in Guntur district. She said that action would be taken against invigilators too, if students were found copying in the exam centres. She said that students would not be allowed in school uniform to attend exams. She said xerox centers near the exam centres had been directed to  remain closed during the exam hours.

Meanwhile, Guntur Urban Ch. Vijaya Rao said policemen were appointed to regulate traffic at exams centres to enable the students to write the exams without any disturbance. APSRTC regional manager G. Shrihari said the corporation is operating buses to exam centres for the convenience of the students and asked students and parents to use the services of APSRTC buses for safe and secure journey.
