KURNOOL: The family members of Y.S. Viveknanda Reddy suspect the hand of one Ragipindi Sudhakar Reddy in his brutal murder.
Sudhakar Reddy was released from prison about three years ago after serving for the murder of Y.S. Raja Reddy, the father of Vivekananda Reddy.

Raja Reddy was a popular leader in Kadapa district in Rayalaseema, which is notorious for bloody fights among rival factions backed by political parties. He was the sarpanch of Pulivendula.
Raja Reddy had five sons — George, Rajasekhar, Vivekananda, Sudhir and Ravindra. The last two kept away from politics. Sudhir Reddy had once told this correspondent, “I dread blood.” Sudhir Reddy had business in South Africa, while Ravindra was a small-time contractor. George Reddy too was a contractor and died some years ago. Rajasekhar Reddy, then Chief Minister, died in a helicopter crash in the Nallamala forest in Kurnool district in 2009.
