Telangana: Old buses to be taken off roads

The institutions must recruit drivers having at least 5 years' experience.

Hyderabad: The TS Transport department would ban the buses that completed 15 years of run for educational institutions. During a review meeting held on Monday, Rangareddy district transport officer Mr. Muppala Praveen Rao said all the educational institute buses should renew their fitness as also registration certificate, insurance, permit from May 15.

“Concerned permits and other certificates of all the institute buses in Rangareddy will expire on May 15, 2017. The institutions must recruit drivers having at least 5 years’ experience. Institutes must upload details of new drivers in the transport department’s websitewww.transport.telangana.gov.in immediately’’. He also said that the drivers must attend training and orientation classes organised by the concerned motor vehicle inspector.
