Bengaluru: Though two lives were lost in a tragic accident after a wall collapsed near Johnson Market on Sunday, neither the state government nor the BBMP, which is the custodian of the market, has came forward to announce any relief to the families of the deceased.

Families members said that that the government did not even have the courtesy to contact them. They blamed the BBMP for the tragedy as the wall measuring 7 feet in height and 3 feet in width did not have any foundation at all.

The government has not taken up any works even after announcing in the recent state budget that heritage structures Russell Market, K.R. Market and Johnson Market will be developed.
