Boy dies in road mishap; girl succumbs

Both fell on the road and received severe injuries. Both were admitted to Gandhi hospital where Vaishnavi died.

Hyderabad: A four-year-old boy died on the spot at Medipally on Tuesday, while at Sanathnagar a girl succumbed to injuries she received five days ago.

At Medipally, J. Karthik, 4, along with his maternal uncle S. Shyam were returning home after attending a function. While passing through the stretch between Narapally and Boduppal, a speeding seven-seater autorickshaw hit their scooter.

Karthik fell head first on the road divider and sustained severe injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but declared brought dead.

At Sanathnagar, M Vaishanavi, 13, who was injured in an accident on May 9 died on Tuesday. She and her elder brother Saikiran of Borabanda were riding towards SR Nagar on a scooter. Saikiran lost control on the vehicle which it skidded.

Both fell on the road and received severe injuries. Both were admitted to Gandhi hospital where Vaishnavi died.
