K Prakash Babu, Sathyan Mokeri elected CPI assistant secretaries
The council meeting also elected a 21 member state executive.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPI state council on Tuesday elected K. Prakash Babu and Sathyan Mokeri as assistant secretaries. Prakash Babu has been elected to the post for the third time while this is the second innings for Mokeri. K.R. Chandramohan was elected as Treasurer. The council meeting held under the chairmanship of K.P. Rajendran also elected 21 member state executive.
The executive includes Kanam Rajen-dran, Prakash Babu, Sathyan Mokeri, E. Chandrashekharan, K.P. Rajendran, C.N. Jaya-devan MP, J Chinc-hurani, P. Vasantham, N. Rjan, C.A. Kurien, T. Pruushothaman, C. Divakaran MLA, C.N. Chandran, P. Chamuny, K. Rajan MLA, K.R. Chandramohanan, Mullakara Ratnakaran, P. Prasad, A.K. Chand-ran, Rajaji Mathew Thomas and P.P. Suneer.
The meeting was attended by CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran, central secretariat member Binoy Viswam, central control commission chairman Pannyan Raveendran and national executive member K.E. Ismail . C.P. Murali of Kannur was elected as control commission chairman. J. Udayabhanu (Kollam) was elected control commission secretary.
