1 killed in row over sharing loot in Krishnagiri

According to them, the deceased person R. Girish (25), was an auto driver of Sidalghatha in Chikaballapur district of Karnataka.

Krishnagiri: Police are cracking the mystery surrounding a man who was found dead in a village in Thally police limits in Krishnagiri district. He is believed murdered by his associates in a disagreement over sharing loot.

Thally police recovered the dead body of a man a few days ago from the lake bund at Sillibilli mangalam village in Denkannikottai taluk of Krishnagiri. Injuries on his body showed he was murdered and special investigating teams were formed by police to nab the culprits.  

Meanwhile, four people surrendered in the Denkannikottai judicial magistrate’s court on Tuesday. They gave their names as B. Mohan (33), V. Shivasankaran (28), both belonging to Varadhanayakanahalli near Chikaballapur district of Bengaluru in neighbouring Karnataka, their associates S. Srinivasan (22) of Narasapura of Kolar district in Karnataka and R. Mohan (33) of Bengaluru.

According to them, the deceased person R. Girish (25), was an auto driver of Sidalghatha in Chikaballapur district of Karnataka. Girish was allegedly murdered in fear that he would disclose the details of their crime to police.

The auto driver who disassociated himself from the gang was invited for a liquor party and while drunk, he was brutally done to death. His body was transported to the Tamil Nadu border and abandoned at Silli billi village, sources said.

Following their surrender, the four were sent to Salem prison as remand prisoners.

Thally police contacted their counterparts in Karnataka and informed them of the murder committed in Chikaballapur district police limits.
