Rs 2,680 crore to build new railway line for new capital Amaravati

Guntur: Union minister of railways Suresh Prabhu announced that the Union government sanctioned Rs 2,680 crore for the new railway line to new capital Amaravati.
He claimed that there was no corruption in the BJP government for the past three years. He addressed the Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas meeting organised by the BJP at Tenali on Thursday. He said that the BJP is working for the welfare of all sections of the society and was dedicated for development.
Mr Prabhu claimed that after bifurcation, BJP government gave preference to the residuary AP for development in all possible manner. He asserted on the need for new railway line to the new capital Amaravati and assured about cooperation to AP towards construction of Amaravati railway line connecting Vijayawada and Guntur.
The union railway minister said that the railway department decided to develop 400 railway stations throughout the country and proposals are under progress for it. He said that more reforms would be taken up in the railway ministry to serve the public better.
Guntur MP Galla Jayadev asserted the need for railway development in Guntur district in view of establishment of Amaravati and asked Mr Prabhu to initiate measures for the development of railway stations in Guntur district. AP minister for medical and health K. Srinivas praised the BJP government for successfully completing three years without any administrative crisis and sought campaign of central government schemes among the masses.
AP minister for social welfare N. Ananda Babu, Vishakapatnam and Narasapuram MPs K. Haribabu and G. Gangaraju were among those present.
