VIJAYAWADA: Dalit leader Kathi Padma Rao has suggested that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu embrace Buddhism. Stating that Naidu couldn’t be able to convince his family to relocate to Amaravati, and was living here as a non-resident Telanganite, Kathi Padma Rao wondered why he didn’t change his voter ID from Telangana to AP.

Speaking to the media here on Friday, he has stated that the CM didn’t have any knowledge ab-out Andhra culture and traditions, as he hails from the border area in Chittoor district. “The Chief Minister is living here alone, as his life partner is not willing to relocate to Amaravati though she is a native of Krishna district,” Mr Padma Rao said and suggested to Mr Naidu to embrace Bud-dhism, by giving away all his assets to son Lokesh.

The Navyandhra party’s founder president Kathi Padma Rao also came down heavily on the CM for disturbing the non-Vaidic culture in Amaravati by allowing installation of a replica of the Lord Venkateswara Hindu temple in the premises of a Buddhist shrine. “Is it not a show of one’s apathy towards a minority religion,” he asked.
