Hyderabad: Taxpayers will no longer need to visit Mee-Seva centers or GHMC zonal offices for important documents such as birth and death certificates or for payment of property tax. The MyGHMC app will take care of these services and attend to grievances.

The application, which is only for Android users currently, is available  for download from the Google Playstore.

The first section deals with taxes, licences, LRS grievances and birth and death documents, while in the next section, complaints with photographs can be uploaded with details, for officials to take immediate and adequate action.

For personal information like property and important documents, a one-time password will be generated to the mobile phone submitted in the application. With that OTP, citizens can submit their details and know the status.

The first-ever complaint on the app was lodged by one J. Jagadish regarding stray dogs and streetlight problems in Musheerabad. The GHMC, under the chief information officer, has deployed staff to monitor the complaints.
