Visakhapatnam: Inmates of science hostels of Andhra University on Friday staged a protest in front of the administrative building against the quality of food being served to them at the hostel mess. The students raised slogans against the chief warden, accusing him of arrogance. The students said he was responsible for the low quality of food. They said that there was no safe drinking water facility in the hostels.

“Though we have been paying thousands of rupees, we are getting poor quality food due to corruption of the chief warden,” they said. The students were pacified when incharge V-C E.A. Narayana promised to look into the matter immediately. “I understand the problem of the students and will take immediate steps to resolve them,” he said.
