Hyderabad: What rules apply to broken or damaged medicines and free medicines post-GST, chemists are clueless and want clarity.  “We do not have a system in place to deal with damaged, broken and free products.

There is no clarity on what’s to be done with expired products either. We are raising these concerns with manufacturers,” said Suresh Gupta, general secretary of All-India Organisation of Chemists and Druggists.

Before GST, customers could return medicines if they had not opened the package and exchange or take refunds for them. Now, this cannot be done as the policy on returns and refunds is not clear.
