SFI adhoc committee in University College

Thiruvananthapuram: SFI on Monday constituted an adhoc unit committee in University College to run the affairs of the organisations on the campus. The state committee had on Saturday dissolved the university unit committee following the stabbing of BA political science student Akhil Chandran.

The adhoc committee will be directly under the control of district committee of SFI. The decision comes in the wake of the involvement of SFI unit leaders including former president and secretary, members in the stabbing incident. The six accused in the case were earlier expelled from SFI . The central leadership of SFI had also called for dissolution of the committee following the murder attempt on Akhil.
