HYDERABAD: The Har Ghar Tiranga programme has received tremendous response across the country with more than five crore people uploading selfies on the website, Union culture minister G. Kishan Reddy said on Monday.
Kishan Reddy said “5 crore Tiranga selfies reflect the collective commitment of duty-bound Indians to keep the nation first and always first. Thank you, India. This is indeed a special moment of outpouring of the collective expressions of love and connect for the motherland. I wish everyone a very Happy Independence Day.”
He said the website www.harghartiranga.com allowed people to digitally ‘pin a flag’ at a location based on their IP. This feature saw a huge draw with pan India and global participation crossing 5 crore and more pins.
Kishan Reddy said the Har Ghar Tiranga call from Prime Minister Narendra Modi resulted in this achievement by 4 pm, on Monday as people across India and the world celebrated the Independence Day. The commemoration of 75 years of independence started on March 12, 2021, as a 75-week countdown to August 15, and will continue till Independence Day next year, Kishan Reddy said.
