YS Jagan attends At Home in Raj Bhavan; Naidu and Pawan skip event

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy,Chief Justice of the AP High Court Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and his wife have graced the occasion.

Vijayawada: The ‘At Home’ programme hosted by Governor S. Abdul Nazeer at Raj Bhavan lawns to mark the 77th Independence Day was held in a pleasant atmosphere. Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with his wife Bharathi, as also Chief Justice of the AP High Court Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur and his wife have graced the occasion. Governor Abdul Nazeer went around and personally greeted all the guests.

Meanwhile, Nara Chandrababu Naidu and other TD leaders skipped the ‘At Home’ programme.

Notably, on August 15 last year, when  Biswabhusan Harichandan was the Governor, Naidu, MP Kesineni Srinivas, TD AP unit president K. Atchannaidu and Vijayawada MLA Gadde Ramamohan attended the ‘At Home’ there.

Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan and the other leaders of his party were also not present at the event on Tuesday. Jana Sena is the alliance partner of the BJP. APCC president Rudra Raju, BJP state president Daggubati Purandeswari, Left leader K. Ramakrishna and several others were present.

The other dignitaries present were Assembly Speaker Tammineni Sitaram, revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, housing minister Jogi Ramesh, cinematography minister Venugopala Krishna, DGP Rajendranath Reddy, chairpersons, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, judges of the High Court, State Election Commissioner, chief information commissioner and commissioners of AP information commission, Chief Secretary and other dignitaries including sportspersons, Padma Awardees, mediapersons, freedom fighters etc.
