Bharosa centre starts in Cyberabad

Hyderabad: Cyberabad police started a Bharosa centre to extend various services to women and children in distress. The centre will also provide shelter for homeless women and psychological help. The Bharosa started at Kondapur is the third centre, the other two located at Hyderabad and Vikarabad.
The new one-stop crisis centre started at the Kondapur area hospital and run by an all-women staff, will help victims of various kinds of abuse including victims of sexual abuse, with legal, psychological and medical aid. Any woman subjected to domestic violence will be provided sheltre by the Bharosa, in coordination with NGOs. Survivors will also be trained in any area of their interest through government.
Cyberabad police commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said, “The centre facilitates recording the statements of children in POCSO cases in a child-friendly atmosphere. The victim compensation in sexual abuse cases will also be processed through the center with further follow-up till the victim receives the compensation. The one-stop crisis centre will work round the clock to extend all the necessary help to victims.”
