Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) CEO Vishal Kapoor has offered support in development of Visakhapatnam, a city recently designated as a growth hub by Niti Aayog, alongside Mumbai, Surat and Varanasi

EESL is a joint venture between the national power utilities of the Indian government and Delhi-based Alliance for an Energy-Efficient Economy (AEEE).

The EESL CEO said Visakhapatnam is one of the country’s fastest-developing urban centres. The city is part of a broader vision for energy efficiency and climate change mitigation, for which coordinated efforts are required at both regional and national levels.

AEEE chairman Dr. Sateesh offered his organisation and EESL’s support to Andhra Pradesh, recognising the pivotal role energy efficiency plays in economic development, environmental conservation, and enhancing the quality of life.

ESL CGM Communications Animesh Mishra said the groundbreaking collaboration between EESL and AEEE will help enhance energy efficiency in states like AP, Kerala, Karnataka, UP, MP, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana and Gujarat, apart from union territories like Ladakh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
