Ink for new notes same for Pakistan too: Asaduddin Owaisi
Owaisi asked Govt and Centre what their anti-counterfeiting strategy was when the supplier was the same for both countries.
Hyderabad: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi has alleged that the ink for the new currency notes and the silver thread is being supplied by the same supplier to both India and Pakistan.
Mr Owaisi asked the government and the Centre what their anti-counterfeiting strategy was when the supplier was the same for both countries.
He added that the government should have given the people of the country at least a few months to prepare for the demonetisation of currency notes.
He claimed that other countries — which had carried out a similar process — had given ample time to citizens.
Mr Owaisiadded that he would give a notice for adjournment of motion during the Lok Sabha’s Winter Session to discuss the demonetisation move of government.
