HMDA-ford join hands to work on transport woes
They will work together to analyse Hyderabad's existing transportation system.
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Ford India to explore mobility solutions to ease traffic problems. They will work together to analyse Hyderabad’s existing transportation system. Each day, 800 vehicles are added to the city’s streets.
Through this agreement, Ford will analyse multiple modes of transport used by residents of Hyderabad and identify areas of improvement. Ford will work with HDMA to design tech-based mobility solutions that will enhance commuters’ experience. Furthermore, the solution will optimise efficiency of transport operators, as well as reduce congestion.
Speaking on the occasion, K.T. Rama Rao, MA&UD minister, said, “Hyderabad has a significant advantage due to its excellent infrastructure and connectivity. “This MoU will make transportation within the city more convenient. We look forward to working with Ford on this mobility platform.”
