BENGALURU: After a brief lull, perverts with their weird fetishes seem to have made a comeback with a fresh complaint filed at the Byappanahalli police station on Tuesday.

A woman employee of Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) filed a complaint, saying that an unidentified man wielding a knife snuck into her flat at the BMRCL quarters in the early hours of January 11 and sat beside her bed while she and her friend were asleep.

The man, though did not harm the women, left the place after smelling and taking their undergarments. The complaint stated that the women, in their mid-twenties, who work as loco pilots with Metro, were asleep when the pervert entered their flat. When one of the women woke up around 2 am, she was spooked to see the man sitting with a knife in his hand and she woke up another woman.

“We were petrified, but my colleague gathered enough courage to ask the man who he was. He first said he was a watchman and then said he was a thief abandoned by his family. He looked like a psychopath,” the woman stated in her complaint.

After a few minutes, the man walked towards the door and found some underwear the women had left to dry. He asked if the undergarments belonged to them even as he kept smelling them. He then took their undergarments and left, the woman wrote in the complaint.

The Byappanahalli police, who have registered a case, are trying to arrest the pervert. Senior BMRCL officials visited the quarters on Tuesday to ensure better security at the staff quarters.

Last year, the High Grounds police arrested a man who was prowling inside the Maharani’s College hostel wearing lingerie that were put out to dry in the laundry area.
