Boy drowns to death while chasing kite in Hyderabad
The victim, a Class VI boy, was running along the bank of the nala to find his lost kite and accidentally fell into it.
Hyderabad: Md Lukmunulla Khan, 11, who came to his grandparents’ house for a vacation, accidentally fell into a nala and drowned at Sanath Nagar while chasing a kite.
According to the police, the victim is a Class VI at the Minority Welfare Residential School at Aghapura.
On Tuesday afternoon, while flying a kite near a nala in the neighbourhood, Lukmunulla suddenly lost his kite. Following the kite, he ran along the bank of the nala and fell into it.
Meanwhile, his family members started searching for him. Locals who found his body floating alerted the police who later retrieved the body. His family members also rushed to the spot and identified him.
Based on his father Mujeebullah Khan’s complaint, a suspicious death case was registered and the body was shifted for autopsy, said Sanathnagar inspector E. Venkat Reddy.
