P Jayarajan undergoes routine tests at Medical college hospital
The CPM Kannur district secretary has undergone Angioplasty three times earlier.
KOZHIKODE: The cardiology team of doctors at the Medical college hospital (MCH) here began doing initial screening tests on CPM leader P. Jayarajan, who was shifted here on Monday. Jayarajan is a remand accused in the murder case of E. Manoj.
“The results of the routine tests will be available on Wednesday. Further tests would be conducted according to the result. If needed, an Angiogram will be advised,” said MCH Principal, Dr P.V Narayanan.
Jayarajan was shifted to the critical care unit (CCU) of the cardiology department at the super speciality block on Tuesday. Other physicians said that the CPM leader had felt pain while undergoing check-ups.
The CPM Kannur district secretary has undergone Angioplasty three times earlier. Meanwhile, the Thalasserry district sessions court on Wednesday will consider the plea of the CBI seeking custody of Jayarajan for interrogation.
