2 get jail for noise pollution in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: For a city reeling under noise pollution, which increases during the wedding season, this must come as welcome news.

A city court on Thursday convicted two band workers to two days in jail. Cheguri Krishna, 53, and P. Harish, 21, had been booked under a nuisance case for causing noise pollution in the Chilkalguda police station limits.

The duo was arrested on Wednesday after residents complained against the noise being created by a band. They were produced in the city civil court which sentenced them to two days in jail.
