Chandrababu Naidu cheated Andhra Pradesh, alleges Jagan
He asked how could a state develop if the Chief Minister himself cheated the public.
Vijayawada: YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday alleged state industries secretary Solomon Arokia Raj has not signed MoUs worth Rs 10.54 lakh crore from the CII Partnership Summit-2017 because they were misleading projects.
Mr Reddy, addressing the Yuvabheri in Guntur, alleged that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had signed MoUs with people like Trinadh Kumar, a public relations officer, industrialist Gandham Nanda Kumar from Anakapalle, who did not even have his own vehicle, and Sudheer, a real estate agent married to an anganwadi teacher who lives in an small house.
The YSRC chief, in his address at the Nallapadu Yuvabheri programme, came down like a tonne of bricks on the Chief Minister, accusing him of cheating the people of AP by saying that investments worth crores were coming into the state. He asked how could a state develop if the Chief Minister himself cheated the public.
Mr Reddy said that according to the Central government, IEM had happened worth Rs 34,464 crore; but the CM had lied to the state saying that MoUs worth Rs 2.82 lakh-crore of Rs 4.67 lakh-crore had been cleared.
Special Category Status for AP is going to be the main promise made by all political parties as they campaign for the 2019 elections. Mr Reddy said that after June, all YSRC MPs would resign in order to intensify the SCS movement.
Lavu Rathaiah, chairman of the Vignan Educational Group, was also present on the occasion. He said that the state government does not have any self-respect, and that students had to come out and protest for the SCS.
He said he couldn’t understand why the state leaders were scared of the Central government. He added that though our state has people with expertise in all sectors, the government is ignoring them and instead hiring people from other countries. The students, faculty and management of many other educational institutions also participated in the event.
