AP government announces Rs 5 lakh ex gratia to jawans kin
N. Chandrababu Naidu said that the AP government had decided to give exgratia of Rs 5 lakh for each of the families of the dead.
Vijayawada: The AP government on Saturday announced Rs 5 lakh ex gratia for the families of each of the CRPF personnel who died in Thursday’s terrorist attack at Pulwama in Kashmir.
AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu condemned the attack and sought action by the Jammu and Kashmir government and the Centre to restrain terrorism. He said that the AP government had decided to give exgratia of Rs 5 lakh for each of the families of the dead.
Condemning the attack, Mr Naidu said AP supported the Centre if it took stern action against terrorism. He said the Centre should prevent a recurrence of such incidents. Everyone should extend support to the families of the martyrs who laid down their lives, Mr Naidu said.
The country was shocked by the inhuman act of the terrorists and it is the responsibility of everyone to instil confidence among the families of those who were killed.
The Telugu Desam politburo which met at Amaravati on Saturday condemned the attack and observed silence for two minutes to pay homage to the CRPF personnel.
In New Delhi, TD MPs participated in the all-party meeting conducted by Union home minister Rajanath Singh and condemned the terror attack. Mr K. Ramamohan Naidu said that Mr Singh explained about the measures taken by the government to bring back normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir. He said all parties expressed their support to the Centre.
