Case registered against TD MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao

Vijayawada: The police registered a case on Vijayawada central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao and his two sons for allegedly attacking industrialist Koganti Satyam.
According to reports, Mr Umamaheswara Rao and his two sons, Siddhartha and Raviteja, forcibly stopped Satyam and other leaders from conducting election campaign and warned them about dire sequences. Hence, Satyam lodged a complaint with the Ajit Singh Nagar police, who registered a case.
The complainant alleged that the MLA and his son stopped him from campaigning on April 8.
He said that he and his supporters were campaigning in Devinagar and adjacent areas, when all of a sudden, the TD MLA and his two sons came to the place where they were and stopped them from moving ahead by obstructing the way placing their vehicles on the road.
He further alleged that Mr Umamaheswara Rao threatened about dire sequences, including getting him killed, on the public address system and that his two sons also abused him verbally.
He alleged that the MLA encroached lands of many people, including freedom fighters, and termed him a "rowdy".
He sought stern action against the TD MLA, his sons and their supporters and also appealed to the cops to save the people from their corruption, illegal activities and rowdyism in their area.
