Hyderabad: With patients coming from rural areas of four states to the Government Nizamia General Hospital, there was a dearth of medical devices and this gap is now being funded by the grandchildren of the Nizam who have come together to bridge it.
Medical devices, surgical products and also patient care accessories like walkers, wheelchairs, air beds, back rest and adult diapers are being donated so that the patients do not have to wait for want of these products.
Grandson of the Nizam, Nawab Najaf Ali Khan, said, “There are patients who come from rural areas of Telangana state, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnataka to the hospital. The family is taking the support of a non-government organisation which is working in the hospital to assist the patients.”
There are eight to 10 general surgeries performed every day where there has been a need felt that’s when the donations come handy for quick and easy care.
