Hyderabad: The GHMC has decided to shift the ticket counter away from the Charminar. A senior GHMC official said that during the visit of 15th Finance Commission led by chairman Nand Kishore Singh in February, it was decided that the ticket counter was obstructing the view.

He said that the Commission had suggested to the Archaeological Survey of India to co-operate with the corporation in this regard. The civic body official said that the ticket counter will be temporarily shifted to a nearby location.

It will have a permanent slot in the new G+1 complex which will be constructed after demolishing the traffic police station near the Charminar. He said that the directions to the ticket counter will suggested through sign boards until the permanent structure is constructed.
