GHMC cracks down on meat sellers in Hyderabad
The stores were imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 each for selling unstamped mutton and beef.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s health wing has effected a crack-down on a few meat stores in the Secunderabad divsion.
The officials inspected shops selling beef and chicken and prosecuted them under section 548, 539, 487, 521 and 596 of the Hyderabad municipal act for selling mutton, chicken and beef without licence.
Also, the meat had been procured from illegal slaughter houses. The stores were imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 each for selling unstamped mutton and beef. The officials later visited a few tiffin centres in Ramanthapur main road and fined them Rs 2,000 for throwing garbage on the roads.
