Hyderabad: 8 under 10-years-old children rescued from masala factory

A case was registered against the owner of the famous Anand Masala brand, Anand Swaroop.

Hyderabad: Cyberabad Police and Balala Hakkula Sangham in a joint operation raided  a famous masala making unit in Mailardevpally and rescued eight children aged less than 10 years.

A case was registered against the owner of the famous Anand Masala brand, Anand Swaroop.

According to police, the unit was operating in Durganagar under Mailar-devpally Police Station limits. Kids who were trafficked from Bihar, Karnataka and Jharkhand states and from Mahabubnagar and Karimnagar districts were employed in the unit to work.

They were made to separate chilly stocks for making masala. 

Based on a tip off, Police and the NGO conducted raids and resuced the kids and shifted them to rescue home. Meanwhile, Police registered a case against the owner and detained him for questioning.
