Lucknow: Meerut family allowed to meet JeM terrorist

The family had claimed the suspected terrorist is their son Pravin missing since 2006.

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the district administration of Lucknow has allowed a Dalit family from Meerut to meet convicted Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist Abid lodged in the Lucknow jail.

The family had claimed Abid is their son Pravin missing since 2006.

The meeting would take place in the presence of senior officials of special task force, anti-terror squad and local intelligence unit.

The family claimed on Friday at a press conference organised with the help of NGO Rihai Manch, a day after a special court sentenced three members of JeM to the life imprisonment.

According to reports, Pravin's mother Mahesh Devi and younger brother Pawan claimed Pravin had been missing since 2006.

The three JeM men were Pakistani nationals and lodged in Lucknow jail after their arrest in November 2007 from Sitapur road following an encounter while they were on their way to Lucknow, the police state.
