Telangana: Highest job vacancies in the police

Hyderabad: The Telangana state government will be filling 1.12 lakh posts in different departments in the next few months.

Till date, the number of posts filled are 27,660. Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday had announced that they would be filling 84,876 posts shortly. Of this the highest vacancies are in the police department (27,440) followed by teaching posts in government schools (12,005) and residential schools (12,436). 

Another 8,347 vacancies have been identified in the medical and health department, panchyat raj (3,528) and Singareni, forest and revenue wings (about 2,000) have substantial vacancies to be filled.

The recruitment process is in various stages, some were halted due to legal hurdles. Meanwhile, Unemployed Youth JAC chairman Manavatha Roy said, “Jobseekers would be happy only if government released notifications to prove their commitment instead of just making statements.”
