Vijayawada: Floodwaters from the River Krishna reached the residence of former Chief Minster N. Chandrababu Naidu at Undavalli in Guntur district on Friday, leaving the ‘Walkway and Riverview’ facilities under a sheet of water.
With officials releasing about 7.68 lakh cusecs of water from Prakasam Barrage, the former CM’s residence, located about 10 km upstream, has been affected from the backwaters.
As the floodwater is expected to rise further in the next few hours and likely to touch the eight lakh cusecs mark, water may enter the ground floor of Mr Naidu’s residence in the next few hours.
Mr Naidu’s personal staff has already moved the household articles to the first floor.
