Hyderabad: The Indian embassy in Pakistan has issued  the passport to Mohammedi Begum, a Hyderabadi woman, who is now stranded in Pakistan.

The woman was married to a Pakistan national and is staying in the country after her marriage.

A few months ago she expressed her willingness to return to India as her husband is torturing her.

Her parents approached Union minister for external affairs Sushma Swaraj who took up her case in April.

On Saturday, MBT leader Amjedullah Khan, who is pursuing the case, reminded  embassy officials about it through social media.

The Indian embassy in Pakistan informed that her case for visa regulation is pending with the government of Pakistan.
