11 members of a Vizag family still missing

Visakhapatnam/Kakinada: Rescue personnel have recovered two more bodies from the waters on Monday. Those belong to the same family in the boat capsize that took place on Sunday in the Godavari river near Devipatnam during a boat trip to Papikondalu.
The relatives have identified the bodies of T. Appalanarasamma, 54, and Bonda Lakshmi, 35, after rescue forces recovered their bodies. Revenue officials immediately shifted the dead bodies to Visakhapatnam and the final rites were observed on Monday evening.
Out of the 13 members, Ms B. Lakhsmi was rescued and is being treated in Rajahmundry Government Hospital and two were found dead. The family is still waiting, as the search operations are on to find the other 10 people are missing.
Of the 13 people missing, there are seven adults and six children, of which six are women and five girls, apart from a father and a son.
The missing were identified as M. Ramana Babu, 35, M. Aruna Kumari, 29, M Akhilesh, 9, M. Kushali, 5, and M. Pushpa, 15, from Ramalakshmi Colony near King George Hospital, Geetha Vyshnavi, 15, and Ananya, 3, from Arilova Colony and B. Dalleamma, 35, B. Susmitha, 4, and B. Poorna, 23, from Anakapalle.
The cousins, along with their children, had planned for a happy Sunday, which ended in tragedy.
All of them reached the Vizag railway station at around 4 am on Sunday and boarded a train to Rajahmundry. Then, they hired a cab to reach Gandipochamma temple. The trip for Papikondalu began from the temple and ended up ruining their happiness.
Devipatnam Police books boat owner
Devipatnam police registered a case against K. Venkata Ramana, the owner of ‘Royal Vashista’, the boat which capsizing in the Godavari on Sunday. The case has been booked under IPC Section 304 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder)
Rampachodavaram DSP Vakul Zindal said Venkata Ramana had not been taken into custody yet as the police was investigating the incident. District collector Muralidhar Reddy said there were 73 persons in the boat.
